Basics
ch - chain
Pull the thread straight through the loop on the needle.
slst - slip stitch
stitch in, get the thread and pull it right through the stitch and the loop on the needle
Sc - single crochet
stitch in, get the thread, pull it through the stitch, fetch the thread again and pull it through both loops on the needle.
hdc - half double crochet
put an envelope on the needle, stitch in, get the thread, pull it through the stitch, get the thread again and pull it through all three loops on the needle.
DC - double crochet
put an envelope on the needle, stitch in, get the thread, pull it through the stitch, get the thread again and pull it through the first two loops on the needle. Get the thread again and pull it through both loops on the needle.
DtR - double treble crochet
take two envelopes on the needle, stitch in, pull the thread, pull it through the stitch, pick the thread again and pull it through the first two loops on the needle. Get the thread again and pull it through the next two loops on the needle. Get the thread again and pull it through the last two loops on the needle.
inc - increase
make two sc in one stitch. (of course this also works with Hdc, Dc etc.)
dec - decrease
decrease two stitches together
BLO - back loop only
stitch only into the back loop of the stitch
FLO - front loop only
stitch only into the front loop of the stitch
3 dc dec - 3 double crochet decrease together
1. Take a wrap on the needle, stitch into the stitch and take the thread through the stitch, take the thread again and now pull the thread through the first two loops on the needle.
2. Repeat the first step. You now have three loops on the needle.
3. Repeat the first step again. You now have four loops on the needle.
4. Pull the thread through all four loops.
